interhunt.com_chamoisChamois- the typical game in the Austrian Alps

Chamois is most spread and very typical game for the Austrian Alps. This fascinating game lives in the high regions of our Austrian mountains and is hunted in daytime.

We hunt male and female Chamois it from June to January. In winter time the Gamsbock (male
Chamois) has the much sought-after “Gamsbart” you often find on Austrian hunters hats.

After the guide has spotted the right Chamois in the herd from sometimes up to 20 wonderful

animals the real stalking begins until the guest is close enough for a shot. Therefore this hunting adventure requires some physical fitness on the guest’s side.
