The cosy thatch roof lodge “San Javier” has the most spectacular views, which make a wonderful setting to spare and relax after enjoying the best shooting ever. Duck shooting here features comfortable and well camouflaged blinds; quality specie-specific decoys; and all the boats, trucks to get you to where the ducks are each day. Guides place you where you need to be to get the kind of duck shooting you’ve only dreamed of until now. We shoot twice a day, morning and evening, and there is plenty of time to unwind and relax at midday.

San Javier offers 6 bedrooms with bath, and will accommodate twelve guests, and while you are in the ranch, it is yours to enjoy, from the comfortable living room with its inviting fireplace, to the dining room offering beautiful views over open fields and the Parana River shore.

Dining at San Javier is always an event, and menus feature a variety of Argentinean’s famous beef and wild game.

Location

San Javier Lodge is located in the province of Santa Fe, in east central Argentina, 295 miles (480 km) from Cordoba Airport, or 235 miles (380 km.) east of La Zenaida lodge (dove shooting). Driving time 5 hours, over good roads and through beautiful rural country.

Guest may also take a van from Buenos Aires city (Ezeiza Int. Airport) to San Javier Lodge. Driving time 5 ½ hours, over highways and through beautiful rich country.

Another option is to fly Rosario Airport (coming from Santiago-Chile, or B.A.) and drive 2:40 hours; or Santa Fe Airport (coming from B.A.) and then
drive 2 hours.

Optionally, you may charter directly to the landing strip at San Justo. (50 min)

The Shooting

Duck shooting over decoys, morning and afternoons. Morning hunts depart the lodge in the dark, but after a hearty breakfast. Drives vary depending on water conditions, but range from ten to forty five minutes.

Shooters are placed in fresh camouflaged blinds. Shooting over decoys starts at first light and continues until 10 am or after. Most days, guests return to the lodge for lunch and a siesta before afternoon departures at about 3pm for evening duck hunts. Evening hunts last until dark.
